T in the Park is moving to a new site at Strathallan Castle from 2015. It’s centrally located in the heart of the beautiful Perthshire countryside, approximately one hour away from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. The festival will take place with an impressive early 19th century castle and 1000 acres of gorgeous woodlands as a stunning backdrop to the music.

Is it easier to get to?

It’s pretty much the same! Strathallan is approx an hour away from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. There are good road links with the main route to the north, the A9, just three miles away. As always we’ll be providing a shuttle bus service to the site from around the UK.

Gleneagles train station is also nearby with regular trains from both Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as daily to and from Kings Cross, London in less than 6 hours.

Why are you moving?

We’ve decided to relocate because there were lots of restrictions at Balado with regards to what parts of the site we can use and this made it difficult for us to plan ahead. Strathallan Castle will provide us with many more options for the layout of the site.

Is this the last year at Balado?

Yes, 2014 will be the very last year at Kinross and we will be making sure this is the biggest party yet so we can all say bye bye Balado in style. Watch this space for details of celebrations.

Where is the nearest town to the new site?

The nearest town is Auchterarder which is three miles away

Is there still a camping area?

Yes there will still be a camping area and we’re excited to say that it will be surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscape in Scotland.

Will you still have The Residence camping?

Yes and it will be more glamorous than ever positioned in front of a castle

Is Tennent’s Lager still the main sponsor?

Absolutely, Tennent’s Lager is our founding partner – we wouldn’t be moving anywhere without them!

Is it a bigger site?

The site is a similar size but it has more flexibility for use.

Will more people be able to go?

We expect to keep the capacity at the same level in the first year but there is room to increase that in the future.

Will there be more music/tents?

More information will be released about that at the official launch in 2015.

Will the campsite be bigger?

More information will be released about that at the official launch in 2015.

Will you still be able to buy day tickets?

Yes

Will the festival start earlier in the week/last longer?

We expect the festival to run for the same number of days

Will the festival still start on a Thursday?

Yes

Can you still drive to the festival?

Yes – more details will be released when the 2014 festival is finished.

Will the walk to the campsite be longer or can you park closer?

More details will be released when the 2014 festival is finished

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets for 2015 will be released in the earlybird ticket sale on Friday 18th July at 9am.

Will there be an earlybird ticket sale?

Yes

Will the tickets be more expensive?

Tickets in the earlybird ticket sale will remain at the same price as 2014. It’s too early to speculate on prices beyond that, but rest assured that no aspect of the cost of moving the site will be absorbed by customers.
